How to make Amla Pickle

Amla 2 kg
Rye 2 tbsp
Fenugreek seeds 2 tbsp
cumin 1 tsp
fennel 1 tsp
Mustard oil 500 grams
Turmeric Powder 1 tbsp
Red chili powder 2 tbsp
salt 1 bowl


To make amla pickle, first wash the gooseberry thoroughly with water. Now put gooseberry and water in a vessel and boil for 10 minutes on medium flame. After boiling for 10 minutes, the gooseberries have become soft and are breaking when pressed with hands. Now the gooseberry cools down, then break the gooseberry into desired pieces and separate the seeds.

Now put fenugreek, mustard seeds, cumin and fennel in a pan and fry them lightly. Then put it in a mixer jar and grind it coarsely. Now put the pieces of amla in a bowl and add coarsely ground spices, salt, turmeric, chili powder and mix it well with a spoon. Now heat mustard oil in a pan, then keep it aside to cool.
